Specialising in Rural Planning Matters

About Us

Sadler Planning is a professional planning practice established by Kathryn Sadler BA (Hons) Dip TP MRTPI who has over 20 years of experience in both public and private planning sectors.

Following graduation from Oxford Brookes University in 2002, Kathryn went on to spend over 10 years working for various local authorities across Sussex including Mid Sussex, Wealden and Horsham District Councils spending time in both development control and enforcement.

During her time at Horsham District Council, Kathryn had the unique opportunity of working alongside the South Downs National Park, overseeing and managing applications on behalf of the park.

Having worked up the ranks at Horsham District Council, Kathryn moved into private practice in 2014, putting her wealth of knowledge of the various local authority planning systems into good use, assisting clients with their planning matters.

During her time as a senior consultant for two private practices, Kathryn project managed a variety of planning applications, listed building consents, lawful development certificates and prior approvals on behalf of a range of clients including farmers, private and commercial equestrian owners, private commercial clients, land and estate owners, private schools, Councils and individual clients.

Outside of planning, Kathryn is a keen horse woman having ridden horses since she was four years old.  When not working she can often be found riding on top of the South Downs or mucking out at the yard!

Why Choose Us?

Experience

All projects will be carried out by Kathryn rather than being passed onto less experienced staff. With over 20 years of planning experience delivering rural planning services within the South East, you can rest assured you are in capable hands.

Diligence

The devil is in the detail and this is even more relevant in the planning world, especially when dealing with rural planning matters. All too often the detail is overlooked and this can often mean the difference between a refusal and a grant of planning permission.

Passion

As a family, the Sadlers have been providing professional rural services within Sussex for over three generations. We are passionate about successfully delivering projects from inception through to completion; being an integral part of your journey.

Honesty

We are proud of our reputation for delivering an open and honest service to all of our clients. The planning process can be complex and confusing and our advice always has you, our client, at heart.
